Weight Management Program
The Weight Management Program at Washington University School of Medicine is dedicated to the care of individuals with overweight and obesity. By applying the most current methods, the program helps participants manage their weight and reduce the medical risks associated with excess weight. Participants in the Weight Management Program represent a range of lifestyles, ages and careers, including healthcare workers, business professionals, teachers, engineers, mechanics, retirees and students. Managing your weight successfully is a lifelong process, and our participants share a desire to find more enjoyment in life through healthy weight management.
The Weight Management Program at Washington University School of Medicine offers a multidisciplinary approach to help you achieve your goals.
Some very common reasons why individuals join our program include:
- A history of multiple attempts at losing weight
- Medical complications requiring weight loss
- Weight-induced limitations in physical activity
- A desire to implement enduring lifestyle changes to maintain a healthy weight
Washington University School of Medicine takes your health and wellness seriously. Due to COVID-19, we have temporarily suspended the Weight Management Program group sessions including orientation sessions. We are in the process of determining the best way forward with safety in mind. If you are interested in the program, please review the information in the links below and let us know if you have any questions. We are maintaining a list of those who are interested and will reach out once we have our plan in place. Thank you for your patience.
