Application Cycle Timeline for Positions Starting July 2021
June 9: ERAS 2021 season begins at 9:00am ET
June 10: EFDO will release tokens to fellowship applicants
at 9:00am ET
July 7: Applicants may begin submitting applications to programs at 9:00am ET
July 21: July cycle fellowship programs begin reviewing applications at 9:00am ET
August 25: Match Opens
August – November: Geriatric Fellowship interviews
November 17: Rank Order List deadline
December 1: Match Day
May 31: ERAS 2022 season ends at 5:00pm ET

Your ERAS application should include the following:
- A completed ERAS Application
- A current Curriculum Vitae
- A one-page personal statement
- Three letters of recommendation (including one from your past or current program director)
- Photo (optional)
Prior to appointment in the program, fellows should have completed a three-year ACGME-accredited internal medicine or family medicine residency; or RCPSC accredited internal medicine residency or CFPC-accredited family medicine residency located in Canada.
Interviews will be arranged by invitation only following review of completed applications. For the 2020 application season, all interviews will be conducted via Zoom on Monday mornings between 9am – 1pm CDT.
